I celebrated my birthday dinner here, and the service and ambiance were fantastic, earning them the full four stars. The hostess and waiter were exceptional, offering A+ service. As a nice touch, my waiter even gifted me a complimentary dessert. They start you off with complimentary bread, but I wasn't a fan. It lacked seasoning and the cranberry and nuts it incorporated didn't add much flavor. On to the main course--my New England Clam Chowder was absolutely delicious! It was creamy, flavorful, and definitely a highlight of the meal. For my entrée, I ordered a well-done pork chop with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, the pork chop was overcooked and quite tough to cut--it wasn't just well-done, but burnt. Additionally, it was completely unseasoned, which was disappointing given the price point. The sides, too, lacked flavor. While the food didn't meet expectations, the service was top-notch, which really made the experience worthwhile. However, the lack of seasoning and quality in the food is enough for me not to return.

Enjoyed the vibe, the service was great, and the food tasted good. I really enjoyed the Au Gratin potatoes, the mac and cheese, and the filet mignon. I think I expected more? For the rave reviews I saw beforehand and the price point, I expected something incredible. It was good, but not incredible. This place is probably a great option for a solid meal and consistent quality, but I wouldn't bring someone with the intention to impress them. If I could give one critique that could be immediately improved, it is that I wish the food was hotter. The lobster dumplings, au gratin, and mac and cheese all came out at the same time and all room temp. I think tasting these dishes while hot would have changed the experience completely.

Researching on the best steakhouse in Boston, MA we're thankful we set our minds on Abe & Louie's. We planned this a couple week ahead of time, and everything from start to finish was perfect. Upon entering, I noticed how beautiful the restaurant is. Everyone's attire even struck me as very professional and made the atmosphere even more upscale. Starting with the lobster dumplings, these were great. Succulent lobster wrapped with a thin wrapper and paired perfectly with saffron-fennel sauce. I loved the fact the main taste of this dish is the lobster and nothing overpowered it. Another appetizer that caught our eye was the French onion soup. This soup had depth and complexity. It was rich, not overly oily due to the melted cheese, and the perfect ratio between croutons and soup. For mains, we opted in for the Tomahawk Steak for Two w. a side of lobster tail. The Tomahawk Steak was cooked to the perfect requested medium rare. Seasoned perfectly and is the best steak I've ever eaten. Tender, juicy and bursting with flavour. As for the lobster tail, succulent and a great addition to an already amazing steak. Service was A+ from the gentleman who took care of us. This hospitality and professionalism really shined through. Overall, I'm confident to say this is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Highly recommend to any traveler or Bostonian. 10/10

Abe & Louie's for brunch is not to be missed. Especially for this birthday girl! My two besties took me to my favorite spot on a cold January Sunday and it was just the ticket. We started with a mimosa for me, and rosé and sauvignon blanc for my girls. The bread basket was full of a variety of delicious rolls and breads, warm of course. I am very picky about my chicken and waffles (new on the menu since the last time I visited) so I asked the waiter about them and he said they were his favorite on the menu. Done and done! My bestie and I ordered that with no more discussion needed. My other bestie ordered the crabcake benedict. We were all well pleased with our meals, but let me tell you about the chicken and waffles.. The chicken was moist as could be, with a not-too-crunchy exterior. The waffle was just crisp enough. In other words... delicious! (The waffles came with a mound of butter on top which was fine for me but not for my cholestorol-watching companion, who sent it back and kept eating the chicken. Our waiter returned a bit later with a whole new dish for her (sans butter) because he said they had to start from scratch, couldn't just produce one piece of it. Oh well, more chicken for her!) The last time I came here for someone else's birthday I remember him getting a ginormous slice of chocolate cake that I had not stopped dreaming about, so I asked for it and it did not disappoint. Moist chocolate cake topped with rich dark chocolate icing, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. I happily took home leftovers. The service at Abe & Louie's is top notch -- the waiters really know their stuff and it's entertaining to watch them bring out their orders and deliver them with style.

What an amazing dinner! I had the boneless Ribeye with a side of creamed spinach. My girlfriend had the Abe omelette with filet mignon. The steak was cooked perfectly at a medium rare and the creamed spinach was perfect. The omelette was perfect! The service was impeccable, they paid excellent attention to our needs. For dessert we had the bread pudding which was delightful.

Having just arrived in Boston we checked in and then headed straight here for lunch. We did make reservations prior, which are recommended. Service was friendly and excellent. The venue is beautiful, quaint, and the décor is upscale wood paneled walls and we took notice of how clean (not dusty) everything was. The menu was filled with many appetizing dishes, but our goal was to eat as much clam chowder on this trip as possible, so we knew we wanted to start with that and it's typically rich and filling. So, we did start with a bowl each and then got their lobster dumplings, and a side of brussel sprouts. We started with a couple of 9oz pours of some white wine... again, another menu that was big and impressive was their by-the-glass wine list. The clam chowder was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Up until this point, it was easily the best we've ever had, and we've had some award winning chowder in various places over the years. It was thick, rich, a clam in each bite, not overly loaded with potatoes, and the consistency of the soup was excellent and perfectly seafood-flavored! Definitely a thing of beauty!! The brussel sprouts were excellent! Nicely fried to a crisp and perfectly cooked through with tons of great flavor, and those lobster dumplings were incredible! Highly recommend stopping in!

After a long day at a conference we had dinner at Abe & Louie's. This was my first time in Boston so also my first time dinning here. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and educated us on great options. The ambience was excellent, large seating layout great for groups. As for the food and drinks the team definitely ate well to close out the evening. The bread was amazing you have be very careful not to keep eating it because you will be full by time your food arrive. I had the salmon but I really was not a fan of it. So I am not sure I would recommend that entree. My colleagues had the chicken and steak and they both enjoyed so would definitely recommend trying. If you are in the Boston area check them out!

Stopped by for a quick lunch today and had an incredible meal! We shared the lobster club, clam chowder, and tuna tartare and WOW! Hands down the most delicious turkey club served on soft, delicious, bread, and they are very generous with the lobster! The clam chowder is delicious and the tuna tartare was light and refreshing. The lobster club is a MUST! Served with a side salad. We had the strawberry tequila drink which was so well balanced and delicious and a manhattan which was equally as good. Staff is very friendly in a warm and welcoming environment. Parking is hard as it is in the general area so walking is encouraged. Will definitely be back and highly recommend this place!
